Art

Hi! My name is Bill Greaney and I am the art teacher at First Lutheran. I am not new to teaching however. I have recently retired from the Holyoke Public School district teaching there since 1994. I was the art teacher at Holyoke High School since 2007 and previously had taught art at Magnet Middle School, Lynch Middle School, Peck Middle School, Dean High School and pretty much every school here in Holyoke! I’ve also been an adjunct professor of art at Westfield State University since 1988 I also loved being involved in the Westfield State University Summer College For Kids program teaching cartooning since 1988 as well. I was the art education coordinator for future educator for 10 years also at Westfield State preparing future art educators for teaching art in the kindergarten -12 age group. I presently am illustrating children’s books and doing freelance illusion concentrating on pet portraits!

I graduated from Westfield State University with a BA in art and Syracuse University with a Masters in illustration.

I love art and illustration and love working with students of all ages! My goal is always to inspire and unlock students creative spirit that, as Picasso so wonderfully stated, is in each and every soul! Thank you for inviting me to share this wonderful experience with your students!
