Dear First Lutheran Family,
I am finding it impossible to believe that this is my last message of 2024. Time goes by so fast. As the days of Christmas break draw near, we enter that crazy time where we bounce between calm and chaos. It’s a time of quiet reflection on all that has happened over the last four months. We are so grateful for all of God’s blessings. It’s a time of fast-approaching deadlines with way too much to do and not enough time to do it all. We sway between confidence and panic as we anticipate the final outcome of our Christmas Program.
Please consider inviting friends and neighbors to the Christmas Program as a wonderful introduction to our school. Rehearsals are going well. I am really looking forward to seeing the final product. Mrs. Hines, the entire staff, and all the students are working so hard to produce something special for you.
As we enter the cold and flu season, I want to urge you to pay close attention to your child’s well being. As inconvenient as they can be, sick days are unavoidable. I appreciate how challenging it can be to figure out if your child should stay home or come in. It’s a decision that impacts the entire family. If there is any doubt, I would err on the side of caution. Keep your child home whenever possible. It doesn’t take much for one sick child to turn into three sick children.
I want to thank you all for your continued support of our school. By now, you know how much this place means to me. I consider it a gift to be a part of your child’s education and development. As always, please continue to pray for our school, our students, our teachers and our neighbors.
Sincerely,
Mr. Stone
Principal
